Our Collective Story

Chanda Gibson spent 20 years in the corporate and nonprofit sectors fighting for the voices of Black professionals to not just be heard, but truly listened to. It was so consuming that she frequently woke at 3:08 am thinking about how she could be part of a new solution. Turns out the middle of the night awakenings were Chanda’s wake-up call. She began to create a constellation of like-minded professionals, and 3:08 Collective was born.

We are a new species of consulting firm.

We are a fully-inclusive, cross-sector, on-call network of professionals fueled by our own lived experiences and belief that change is possible if professionals take purposeful, strategic action.

Our Leadership Team

3:08 Collective’s Principals have been doing this work for a very long time, but for the first time… there is captive audience. Each Principal has experience in the corporate sector and know first-hand the delicacy of this work.

Chanda Gibson, CEO

Chanda Gibson spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs building their global operational Environmental, Social, and Governance practice. During that time she spent six years managing their Employee Resource Group for Black professionals, which ignited her passion for this work and led her to the nonprofit sector where she served as the Executive Director for the Council of Urban Professionals, an organization supporting the advancement of professionals of color in corporate America. Chanda also had a brief tenure as the Chief Advancement Officer at DREAM, where her mandate was to develop a more diverse external support network that better reflected the black and brown young people the organization served. Chanda recently took the exciting leap of realizing her life’s purpose and setting out to build 3:08 Collective. Chanda is a graduate of Stanford University and USC Gould School of Law.
